Welcome to my virtual reality

We are living in truly exciting times. In which technology is enabling us to reach deeper, aim higher and go further than any human has ever been before. We are able to create synthetic life, edit our genetic blueprint, build quantum supercomputers, enter virtual worlds of galactic proportions and infuse all of this with Artificial Intelligence.

This is rapidly and irreversibly changing the world we live in and invites each and everyone of us to ask ourselves these questions: 'what is this reality I find myself in, what is it comprised of and how do I navigate it?' And even more so: 'who am I and what does it mean to truly be Human in this High Tech world?' #knowthyself

'Today, being Human is the biggest act of heroism'

“To know thyself is the beginning of wisdom”. Soon, however, that wisdom will not come from watches and rings that we wrap on our bodies, but the very walls and spaces we inhabit. Previously, information such as heart-rate, emotional state and cognitive and physical stress was collected by wearable devices – now we are able to measure them via sensors in the space itself.

Being a specialist used to be the way forward, but the future belongs to people who can adapt to any given scenario on a dime.

Meta-skills are talents that inform every domain of life and govern your ability to improve other skills. There are many meta-skills out there, but feeling, seeing, dreaming, making, and learning are likely the most important when trying to remain competitive in the modern world.

Automation is going to reduce the demand for specialists; mastering these skills will make you a stronger individual in the automated future.

The HeartMath Institute (http://www.heartmath.org) shares fascinating understandings of the human heart as explored in more than 20 years of its research. The 'Did You Know' facts are lesser-known gems of information to enlighten curiosity on how your own thoughts and emotions are affecting yourself and others.

HMI Research Director, Rollin McCraty, Ph.D., says, "It's important to take a pause and really consider what our emotions are contributing to our environment and to other people. Our research and its applications can help people create a positive emotion-based environment that has real effects on physiology."

McCraty said that the true nature of human emotion is one of care and love. He said HeartMath's and others' research shows that by focusing on these core heart-felt emotions, it can enhance one's connection with others, and that this connection extends far beyond the individual.
