Welcome to my virtual reality

We are living in truly exciting times. In which technology is enabling us to reach deeper, aim higher and go further than any human has ever been before. We are able to create synthetic life, edit our genetic blueprint, build quantum supercomputers, enter virtual worlds of galactic proportions and infuse all of this with Artificial Intelligence.

This is rapidly and irreversibly changing the world we live in and invites each and everyone of us to ask ourselves these questions: 'what is this reality I find myself in, what is it comprised of and how do I navigate it?' And even more so: 'who am I and what does it mean to truly be Human in this High Tech world?' #knowthyself

'Today, being Human is the biggest act of heroism. Remember: WE are the most advanced technology'

Join me on a Hero's Journey: step out of your comfort zone, boost your #consciousness, (re)activate your #innertechnology , shift your #perception and imagineer your own future_

Backed by $54 million, Kernel aims to turn an esoteric science into big business.

If you want your mind read, there are two options. You can visit a psychic or head to a lab and get strapped into a room-size, expensive machine that’ll examine the electrical impulses and blood moving through the brain. Either way, true insights are hard to come by, and for now, the quest to know thyself remains as elusive as ever.

The laws of physics stay the same no matter one’s perspective. Now this idea is allowing computers to detect features in curved and higher-dimensional space.

Computers can now drive cars, beat world champions at board games like chess and Go, and even write prose. The revolution in artificial intelligence stems in large part from the power of one particular kind of artificial neural network, whose design is inspired by the connected layers of neurons in the mammalian visual cortex. These “convolutional neural networks” (CNNs) have proved surprisingly adept at learning patterns in two-dimensional data — especially in computer vision tasks like recognizing handwritten words and objects in digital images.

Prof. Yuval Noah Harari takes to the Congress Hall stage at the World Economic Forum annual meeting to speak about how nuclear war, ecological collapse and technological disruption pose an existential threat to human civilization. Directly after, he explores the challenges of the 21st century and how to address them before it is too late with Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, moderated by Orit Gadiesh.
